![]() ![]() My guess is that the 2 separate bearings was for an early version of this transfer case but now the single, double row bearing is used. ![]() Scouring the internet, I found pictures that only show the dbl wide bearing but there are also exploded diagrams that show 2 of the same bearing going here however, when checking the PN for these bearings, the clutch housing and front output shaft bearings always have different PN's. The front output shaft uses one short needle bearings for the rear support and it seems the other 2, or the double wide one, go into the clutch housing to support the clutch hub (see pics ). I bought a BK-351 rebuild kit for this transfer case and it is the one that has 3 identical needle bearings, about 2 inch OD and about 1 inch wide but there's another kit (same number ) that has just one of these and instead of the other 2, what looks like the same OD needle bearing but twice as wide with 2 rows of needle rollers. Collecting special tools, parts, supplies. Really loud noise in 4WD - Nothing or barely noticeable in 2WD - Initially lower in 4LO but now about the same as in 4HI.
