You can check out the animations, as well as everything discussed thus far, on Virtuous Development’s website. They’re a little rough around the edges (Switch’s words, not mine), but you can’t always expect the world from a “work in progress”. Switch has also been working on some new animations and has shown off some teasers in the post. These loading issues should be fixed for the next build, so expect it to be on the to-do list soon. It’s nothing too serious, but you will see a noticeable stall when making changes to your character. The editor is currently quite laggy, which we can confirm after testing, primarily due to a slight memory leak over time when reloading assets. There are some known issues with this build however, particularly involving the viewers. These are currently accessed through the debug menu, and will likely be expanded upon in future updates. You can switch out various parts of the character, such as their chest size, and you can also set a number of other variables too, such as sex and gender. Also known as the “paperdoll system”, this new addition will allow players to view their character model and customize their bodies.Īt present, the viewer allows for all existing player variables to be seen within it. This means that all the combinations currently available for your character can be seen and changed within the viewers. While these changes are great, the major focus of this particular release is the “player viewer”. There are also a few new scenes in the area leading up to the first town, Nyaura, which will likely be pleasing to fans. Switch has also added a few new scenes to this build, which mainly contribute to the overall story progression. Things are still in development however, so bugs are still to be expected at this stage. First and foremost, the newest update deals with some of the more problematic bugs that crashed the game, of which there were a few. This latest build, 4.8.0, further improves on what we’ve already got. Today, Switch made a blog update regarding Venture Seas, releasing a new build for everyone to try out. That particular update improved upon a lot of pre-existing aspects of the game, as well as also introducing us to some new faces.įour months later and we’re on to the next step of Switch’s development. Our last update was back in November, when we saw version 4.4.0 released to the public. It’s been some time since then, and Venture Seas has been slowly reaching its milestones. We’ve been following Switch’s latest development since last year, when Venture Seas first got its name. The game, created by Switch at Virtuous Development, will play heavily on your own decisions, giving an interesting and varied experience. The adult RPG adventure Venture Seas has just had a new alpha release today.
